Join us on January 30-31, 2026 for the annual Men's Retreat with Central Indiana Presbytery. This is a great opportunity to connect with other men, step away from our usual schedules, and set aside time to grow together in Christ. Our speaker will be Clay Werner, Lead Pastor of Oconee Fellowship (PCA) in Georgia. This weekend retreat will help you encounter and experience the unexpected and extraordinary grace found among the depths of a heart broken by sin as seen through king David in Psalm 32. It will show how men can walk in meaningful friendship with one another, encouraging each other to pursue the deepest joy imaginable found in the heart of God.

Prayer 101

Let’s face it. Prayer can be hard, and none of us do it as well as we want to. But growth is possible! If you’re curious about building new rhythms in 2026, we hope you’ll join us for Prayer 101.

At this gathering, we’ll honestly engage our struggles, explore new models and ways we might grow, and spend some time putting those ideas into practice—all while recognizing prayer isn’t a one-size-fits-all thing.

Move to February 1st from 9:30-11 am in the Harrison Gallery. Please RSVP here! Questions? Contact Sam Haist.

Ash Wednesday

We are excited to meet for Ash Wednesday this year as we head into the season of Lent. We hope to engage this season thoughtfully and more connected as we ask God to help us in the forty days of Lent to show us what things we have let into our lives or that remain in our hearts that stand in the way of a more profound relationship with him.

We will serve pizza for dinner at 5 pm in the gym. The service will start at 6 pm, and we will have nursery workers available to care for children aged 0-Kindergarten. Please use the sign-up here to try to provide enough childcare for everyone.

We hope you will plan to join in this time of prayer, family worship, and even times of joint fasting to seek our Father's will and welcome his work in new ways.

City 101 Bus Tour

Shepherd Community Center is a partner ministry of Redeemer’s deacon team working to empower our neighbors to break the cycle of poverty. Additionally, they offer a variety of educational opportunities that help challenge stereotypes about poverty and the urban environment, leading to a better understanding of those experiencing generational poverty in Indianapolis. If we are going to empower our neighbors to break the cycle of poverty, then we need to build great relationships, and the more we understand, the better we are able to do that.

On Saturday, January 17th, Tim Streett will be leading a group of congregants on a bus tour through Indianapolis. Get to know different neighborhoods better as Tim shares the history of the city we live in and how different pockets were created.

Winter/Spring Bible Study Registration

Redeemer Men & Women will study the Book of Romans this year, focusing on Romans 8-16 in the Spring. Each participant will receive a Romans Scripture Journal and Romans for You by Tim Keller or The Village Church Romans Workbook.

Registration opens December 28.

Please choose the option and time that works best for you. Your Bible study leader will contact you by e-mail as soon as possible after registration closes on January 11.

Why $20?

This fee primarily covers the cost of materials, which range between $15 and $20. Any additional money is applied to childcare. Redeemer covers the majority of childcare costs. As a covenant community, we choose to share the cost of childcare among all participants so that it isn’t too burdensome on any one stage of life.

We do not want this fee to prevent anyone from participating. If it does, please contact
Emily for scholarship information.

* Childcare will be available on Wednesday morning as space permits and is allocated based on the order of sign-up.

Blue Christmas Service
Dec

Blue Christmas Service

Join Midtown Church for their Blue Christmas service. Blue Christmas is an evening of worship for those experiencing grief, sadness, loneliness, and loss this Christmas season — and for those who stand in solidarity with them, weeping with those who weep.

Many of us enter the Christmas season thinking about our losses: the death of a loved one, a lingering illness or injury, a breakup or divorce, ongoing financial struggles, and difficulties at work and dysfunctional relationships at home can leave us feeling lonely, unloved, and lost. It can be so hard to sing joyful Christmas songs when so much has gone so wrong.

But what if facing up to what has gone wrong is actually the whole reason for Christmas? What if Jesus came into the world for this very purpose: to comfort the afflicted, to care for the downcast, to face our sorrows with us, and destroy death? Christmas is a holiday of joy only if Jesus came into the world to deal with our greatest griefs and sorrows and sufferings in order to give us lasting hope. At Midtown, they are a community learning to grieve our losses by clinging to our hope: that Jesus entered our world to love the hurting and to make all things right again.

They would love for you to join them on December 18 at 7 pm as we seek bright hope for tomorrow despite today’s many griefs.

The semester culminates with a baby shower on Saturday, December 6, from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm at Polk Stables.

Brunch will be provided, and this event is a beautiful opportunity to physically show the love of Christ to these women and their unborn babies. Children are always welcome to attend, but please note that childcare will not be available.

Gifts can be brought to the shower or purchased and sent to Reagan’s address; she will facilitate wrapping and delivery to the shower.

Day of Prayer

The end of the year is often used for two things: reflection (like your Spotify Wrapped) or fellowship (like your ugly Christmas sweater party). Let’s come together to kick off the Advent season and prepare for the New Year with a time of prayer and fellowship. With more details to come, we are hoping to “’Tis the season” through a day dedicated to praying for our city, our church, and the arrival of our Savior.

Schedule:

  • 8:15-8:45 am—Morning Prayer (no childcare)

  • 12:00-12:30 pm—Evening Prayer (no childcare)

  • 5:15-6:00 pm—Dinner

  • 6:00-6:45 pm—Evening Prayer (with childcare)

We will provide childcare for children ages 0-Kindergarten. We are glad to extend this age or make additional accommodations on a case by case basis (e-mail Emily Pilkington.) Please sign up in advance so we know how many sitters to provide.

We hope you will plan to join us in this time of prayer, family worship, and even joint fasting to seek our Father's will and to welcome his work in new ways.

Morning Prayer

Join us for morning prayer on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at 8:15 am in the church offices, as we seek to better understand the value and importance of prayer—especially when we come together as a community.

We know mornings can be busy, and not everyone may have the time to make it, but if you’re able to join us, we’d love to see you there! Let’s come together and pray for God to be at work.

To join us, please park in the back lot, enter from the parking lot through the 15th St. door on the south side of the building, and proceed up the stairs to reach the Redeemer offices.

Hope Church Service Opportunities

Our core team will receive all the support it needs to establish regular Sunday worship and ministry effectively on the Near Westside of Indianapolis. You can assist in the following ways:

  1. Helping with childcare and kids activities during worship on Sunday evenings. Ideally, 3-5 volunteers per Sunday.

  2. Providing sides, dessert, and drinks for monthly hospitality meals on the last Sunday of the month. The main course will be pizza (or similar). Ideally, 6-10 volunteers per meal.

Use this form to sign up individually or even with your community group. Reach out to Bailie if you have any questions.
